Gertrude DeKam

DEKAM – Gertrude DeKam, aged 89 of Grand Rapids, formerly of Caledonia, went to be with her Lord on Monday, June 22, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband, Percy and son, Terrance J. DeKam. She is survived by her children, Tracy and Carol DeKam, Theodore and Cindy DeKam; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Trent DeKam (Angelina, Brittany, Zachary), Curt and Sheri DeKam (Chloe, Anneka), Kevin and Tina DeKam (Clayton, Rowan, Hudson, Teya), Susan DeKam, Katie and Rohn Sherd (Kadence, Liam, Lincoln), Tyke DeKam (Nola), Benjamin DeKam; sisters-in-law, Kay (Kerwin) Koetje and Betty DeKam. A Memorial Service to celebrate Gertrude’s life will be held Thursday at 4:00 pm at the Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Chapel (Kentwood), 4646 Kalamazoo Ave SE. Interment in Pine Hill Cemetery. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to a charity of one’s choice.
