Gertrude Baas

Gertrude (Mulder) Baas, age 88, went home to glory on Sunday, July 19, 2015, finally free of her accidental handicap of 1969. She was a member of Bethany United Reformed Church. Surviving are her husband of 66 years, Neal; their children, Barbra Hassevoort and special friend, Irv Lewis (Eric, Jason, Jodi and Randy) and Debra and friend, Mike Way (Stacey and Jody); six great-grandchildren; sister, Margaret and Marvin Meekhof. There will not be a visitation. A private family service will be held with Rev. Arthur Besteman officiating. Interment Floral View Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethany’s House (PO Box 294, Grand Rapids, MI 49501-0294).
