Gerry Gelder

Gerry Gelder, age 66, of Hudsonville,was peacefully called home to be with his Lord and Savior, surrounded by his family on Thursday, June 9, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerrit and Henrietta Gelder. He enjoyed working and establishing relationships in the agricultural industry, where many friendships were made during his career. Gerry was active at his church, serving his Lord with his time and talents in many ways. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 42 years, Joann, his children and grandchildren, Greg and Heidi Gelder (Lacey, Steve, Gavin, Chase, and Levi), Doug and Rachelle (Jessica, Kelsey, and Morgan), Jen and Brad Van Dragt; his brother, Al and Jan Gelder; his sister, Molly and Don Wyenberg; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Sharon and Mike Ter Horst; several loving aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday 11 am at Georgetown Christian Reformed Church, 6475 40^th Ave., Hudsonville, with Rev. Marc Nelesen and Rev. Jack Dik officiating.  Interment Blendon Township Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday from 4-8 pm and Monday from 7-9 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Unity Christian High School Foundation.
