Gerri Pipping

Gerri R. (Nieuwenhuis) Pipping, age 96, of Jenison, traveled the road to eternal glory on Monday, February 13, 2023. She was born in the Netherlands and emigrated to the US in 1947. Gerri spent the last 19 years at Sunset Village where she enjoyed many friends. Gerri was a very good listener and a great friend to all, always thinking of others before herself. Gerri was an avid reader of both Dutch and English books, and she also enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jacobus (Jim). Gerri will be lovingly remembered by her children, Adria and Harry Lambers, Gary and Suanne Pipping; grandchildren, Marcie and John Britton, Julie and Chris Faulkner, Joy and Todd Eckstein, Beth Pipping, Paul Lambers, Tracy and Brian Mann; her precious great-grandchildren, Micah, Ethan, and Kendal Britton, Seth, Zoie, Hope, and Liam Eckstein, Brinn, Ryan, Tia, and Justine Faulkner, Maison and Cooper Mann; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Friday, February 17, 2023 at South Grandville Church, 4130 Wilson Ave. SW. Burial at Grandville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 6-8 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Sunset Manor Legacy Foundation.
