Geraldene Martinie

Geraldene “Geri” June Martinie, age 54, of Allendale, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, November 2, 2020. Geri was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who had a “bubbly” personality and zest for life. Her contagious laugh and smile blessed everyone who knew her. Geri cherished and had an unconditional love for her family. She had a passion for riding and caring for horses. Much of her time was spent outside and her home farm with her horses Sierra and Nevaeh. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 35 years, Craig; her children, Mike and Becca Martinie, Andrew Martinie, her “adopted” daughter, Nikki and Steve Roper; her grandchildren, Carter, Jase, Mattie, Cheyenne, and Avery; her parents, Phyllis and Gerald Dykstra; her sisters, Maryann Dykstra, Lonette Dykstra, Sue and Jim Modderman; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Brian and Amy Martinie, Joy and Troy Baareman; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2 pm at Rusk Christian Reformed Church, 10354 92nd Ave., Allendale, with Rev. Mark Neymeiyer officiating. Burial Rusk Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Thursday from 1-2 pm prior to the service at the church.
