Gerald W. Nugent

Gerald “Jerry” W. Nugent, age 79, of Jenison, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, June 15, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice and Leona Nugent. Jerry was an Army veteran, proudly serving his country. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Mary Ann; his children, Wally Nugent, Adele Nugent, Jerry and Lori Nugent, Dawn and Devin Norman; grandchildren, Korina, Justin, Casey, Joshua, Rachael, Hunter, Savannah, Ellery; several great-grandchildren; his brothers and sister, Ralph Nugent, Kathy and Roy Gilbert, Richard and Dottie Nugent; many nieces and nephews. A celebration of Jerry’s life will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2020, 1:00 pm at Cottonwood Church, with Rev. Matthew Palsrok officiating. In honor of Jerry’s love of cars and motorcycles, the family requests that guests drive their collector cars and motorcycles to the church for the memorial service.  Relatives and friends may meet the family from 12-1 pm prior to the service at the church.  In lieu of flowers those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Veteran’s Administration or to Spectrum Health Hospice.
