Gerald   Roon

Gerald Roon Gerald Dale Roon, age 74, of Hudsonville, passed away peacefully from his earthly life to his life eternal on Monday, April 21, 2014.  He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Cornelia Roon; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ralph and Jane Rozema; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Don and Grace Jager.  He will be dearly missed by his wife of 53 years, Annjean Roon; their children, Scott and MaryAnn Roon, Michael and Cheryl Bos, Doug and Judy Kramer, Steve and Angie Roon; grandchildren, Joel and Heather Bolhuis, Eric and Michelle Tien, Wm. Michael Kramer, Jeff and Danyelle Roon, Jeremy Roon and Kassie Lindsay, Jordan Roon, Sean Roon, David Bos, Christian Bos, Ryan Roon, Elizabeth Svetlana Bos, Kevin Roon; great grandchildren, Brynn Tien, Bryce Tien, Carsen Tien, Logan Bolhuis, Tobyn Bolhuis, Turner Roon, Breckyn Bolhuis; brother and sister-in-law, Pierce and Ida Roon; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Harriet Jager, Gert and Hans Bokhout, John and Harriet Rozema, Tom and Yvonne Rozema; several nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday 7 pm at Messiah Christian Reformed Church, 2900 Springdale, Hudsonville with Rev. Ken Havert and Rev. Dan Gritter officiating.  Interment Georgetown Township Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-9 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW and on Thursday from 6-6:45 pm at church prior to the service.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Hudsonville Christian School or Unity Christian High School Building Fund.  Condolences may be sent online at www.mkdfuneralhome.com.
