Gerald John Felix

Gerald John Felix, age 87, of Grandville, entered into heaven peacefully on Saturday, August 16, 2014.  He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, two sisters and son-in-law, Curtis Boes.  He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 67 years, Eileen; his children, Mary Boes, Jerry and Sheri Felix, Ruth Felix; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sister, Jean Stiles; brothers-in-law, Jack DeHaan, Adrian VanDerStoep; many nieces and nephews.  Gerald proudly served our country in the Navy during WWII.  He retired from Steelcase after 25 years of faithful service.  As well as enjoying many sports, Gerald was an avid hunter, fisherman, and woodcarver.  He was also known for his fine craftsmanship and creative ability for engineering and design.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday 11 am at Beverly Reformed Church, 2141 Porter St. SW, Wyoming with Rev. Mark Drane officiating.  Interment Grandville Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday from 5-8 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW and on Tuesday from 10-11 am prior to the service at church.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Beverly Reformed Church or Spectrum Health Hospice.
