Gerald “Jerry” Zink

Gerald “Jerry” Carl Zink, age 72, of Allendale, went home to be with his Lord on Thursday, May 31, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Beatrice Zink; and his son-in-law, Kevin Dawson.  He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Louise; children, John (Allison) Zink, Susan Zink, Deborah (Todd) Rindfield, Brian (Jennifer) Elders; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Tom  Zink, Jay (Dawn) Zink; sister, Joy Spanninga. Jerry proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. For 27 years, Jerry owned and operated Zink’s Tire and Auto Center, Inc. He loved playing golf, spending winters in Texas and enjoying time with his grandkids. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 3 p.m. at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Allendale) 6651 Scott St. with Pastor Jim Maness officiating.  Interment will be held at Rosedale Memorial Park.  Relatives and friends may meet the family on Friday from 6-8 p.m. and on Saturday from 2-2:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
