Gerald Alan Krauss

Gerald Alan Krauss, aged 77 of Grand Rapids, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2015. He was born on October 28, 1937 to Albert H. Krauss and Marcella (Conrad) Krauss, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his children, Jerry (Jenny) Krauss, Amy Jo Krauss; sweet grandbabies, Travis Kole Krauss, Maggie Caitlin Krauss, Kole Luke Krauss, Luke Colin Krauss, Katherine Elizabeth Roy, Stephanie Grace Roy; significant other, Carol Barks of Lansing; siblings, J. Ann (Dale) Russell of AZ, Cheryl (Ronald-deceased) Ricketson of Byron Center; uncle and aunts, Norman (Olive) Krauss, Margie Krauss; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Gerald proudly served his country in the US Army. He retired from Meijer Warehouse in Lansing, MI. He was a gifted craftsman and loved nature, fishing and hunting. Gerald had a special love for his grandchildren. He will be missed by many friends and former co-workers in the Lansing area. Funeral services for Gerald will be held on Wednesday at 3:00 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming with Pastor Todd Ponstein officiating. Interment Poe’s Cemetery in Jones, MI. Relatives and friends may meet the family at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2-3 pm prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Kids Food Basket or Grand Rapids Home for Veterans.
