Genevieve Mae Buist

Genevieve M. Buist BUIST:  Genevieve Mae Buist, age 78, of Wyoming, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 29, 2011 surrounded by her family.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Maurice “Mo” Buist in 2010 and her daughter-in-law, Mary Buist.  She was a loving mother and grandmother who cherished her family.  She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Denise and Kim Bowman, Dennis and Teri Buist, Darwin and Shane Buist; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sisters, Frances and Jack Hofstra, Gertrude Meyer, Joyce Oudendyk; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Peter and Pat Buist, Lester Buist, David and Ruth Buist, Eleanore Buist, Karen Buist, Arlene Kooiker, Irene Kooiker.  Funeral  will be held Wednesday 11:00 am at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home, (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr., with Pastor Jeff Gunderman officiating.  Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at the funeral home.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Brookcrest Christian Nursing Home.  Condolences may be sent online at www.mkdfuneralhome.com.
