Geneva Lubbers

Geneva Marie Lubbers, age 85, of Grandville, went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 6, 2026. She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore; son, Daniel; grandson, Anthony, and granddaughter, Cori. Geneva will be lovingly remembered by her children, Dawn and Lynn Wassenaar, Sue Lubbers, Tom and Jonna Lubbers, Scott Lubbers; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren: Dan (Matthew), Lisa (Jocelynn and Josh, Zoyee, Brody, Eli), Michael and Jodi (Anthony and Carissa [Ariella, Hazel], Mikayla, Valerie and Jordan [Jaelynn and Hazel], Isaiah, Lailah, Gemilla and Nick (Dayton, Cece), Uriah and Jaci (Hudson, Parker, Rhett, Nell), Aubree and Tyson (Hugh, Enza, Vaughn), Zabrea and Tabias (Navie and Sunday), Ted and Kyra (Dean), Isaiah and Megan, Luke and Lexi (Luna), Alex and Erin; siblings, Edith and Lloyd Vugteveen, Lois and Don Hoogerhyde, Norma and Billy Paskiewicz; sisters-in-law, Ruth Lubbers and Joyce Lubbers; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Geneva was a huge people person who never forgot her extended family’s birthdays and anniversaries. Geneva extended her hospitality to others, and her door was always open to visitors. She loved to tell stories and most of the time those stories would include at least four people that you knew. She will be remembered for her generous and loving nature and how she always accepted someone for who they were. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Pastor Ray Paget officiating. Burial will take place at Georgetown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Tuesday, February 10 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the funeral home and on Wednesday from 10-11 prior to the service.
