Geneva Evink-VandenBerg

Geneva Evink-VandenBerg, age 94, of Holland went to be with her Lord on Monday, January 5, 2026. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Theodore Evink; second husband, Theodore VandenBerg; son, Jim Evink; parents, Henry and Carrie Schelhaas; siblings, Beulah and Hugo VanEck, Pete and Lenora Kas, Henry Schelhaas, Linda Schelhaas, John and Henrietta Veld, Lester and Lydia Pronk, John Evink; daughter-in-law, Ardis Evink; Ted VandenBerg’s siblings, Dave and Marilee VandenBerg, Robert and Leone VandenBerg, Chuck and Bernie Pellegrom, Geri Jager, Jack and Pat VandenBerg. Geneva will be lovingly remembered by her children, Marvin and Diane Evink, Calvin and Beverly Evink, Ken and Janis Evink; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Schelhaas; and sisters-in-law, Esther Evink, and Sharon Schelhaas. Geneva enjoyed sewing, playing the piano, and spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Rev. Harry Koops officiating. Burial will take place at Georgetown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Saturday from 1-2 pm at the funeral home prior to the service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Optimal Care Hospice.
