Gary Meyer

Gary L. Meyer, age 66, of Jamestown, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 2, 2026. He spent most of his life in Jamestown. Gary worked as a Redi-Mix driver for many years before retiring. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and traveling to Florida. Most of all Gary loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. 

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 47 years, Karen Meyer; children: Tony and Kristin Meyer, Jacquie and Nate Baker; grandchildren: Chase Meyer, Payten Meyer, Savannah Baker, Isaiah Baker, and Priscilla Baker; parents: John and Lois Meyer, Joy Slagter, Audrey Kortman; siblings: Sheryl (Scott) Vandermyde, Ron (Melinda) Meyer, Calvin Meyer; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Karmen (Jerry) DeYoung, Todd (Judi) Kortman, Tim (Deb) Kortman, Julie Slagter; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his fathers-in-law: Jerry Kortman, Rog Slagter.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 6, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Jamestown), 2371 Riley St., Hudsonville, with Pastor Dennis Gilbert officiating. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Thursday, March 5, from 6-8 p.m. and on Friday from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home.
