Garriet June Aardema

Garriet June Aardema, age 85, of Hudsonville, was welcomed into the loving arms of Jesus on Sunday, March 23, 2025. June was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her compassionate nature touched everyone she met, and her dedication to caring for others was evident in her lengthy career as a nurse. Above all, she cherished time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, creating lasting memories with them. She was preceded in death by her son, Keith Aardema; infant great-granddaughter, Adeline; brothers, Nelson Dykgraaf, Harv Dykgraaf; and sister, Laura Hochreiter. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 63 years, Robert; children, Mike and Beth Koop, Tom and Vicki Aardema; daughter-in-law, Kathy Aardema; grandchildren, Heather Aardema, Brandon and Brittany Kinsey, Scott and Stephanie Aardema, Jared and Brienna Aardema, Skyler and Cody Presley, Ryan and  Ashley Koop, Brianne and Jeromy Mingerink, Paxton and Austin Keathley, Kestra Aardema, Kelia and Gina Aardema, Hunter Aardema; great-grandchildren, Sierra, Kierra, Carter, Josh, Jason, Everleigh, Lily, Amelia, Harlan, Bodie, Lucey, Jace, Boone, Magnolia, and Wilder; siblings, Nathan and Martha Dykgraaf, Myrna DeJonge, Carla and Darryl Lokers; sisters-in-law, Ruth Dykgraaf, Patty Dykgraaf. A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 25, at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Christian Reformed Church, 3520 Kiel St., Hudsonville, with Pastor Jake Porter officiating. The burial will take place at Georgetown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Friday from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Tidewell Foundation.
