Gail L. Parks, age 91, of Cannonsburg, was called home peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior surrounded by family and their immeasurable love on Saturday, June 17, 2023. Gail was a loving and devoted mom, grandma, and great-grandma who’s greatest love was her family. She happily put their needs above her own and was always there to provide encouragement, unending support and amazingly sound advice. She was fun loving, selfless, and had a contagious personality. Friendships were instantly formed with nearly everyone she met. People were drawn to her kindness, her zest for life, trustworthiness and sense of humor. These traits resulted in her becoming a second mom to many. Gail had an adventurous spirit. She reveled in the wonders of the world and the beauty of all God’s creations. She loved spending time outdoors with her family, playing games, sharing her faith with real life examples and being true to her young at heart self. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Robert Parks, her brother, Roger Perham and her parents, Louis and Esther Perham. She will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her children, Dale & Laura Parks, Deborah & Thomas Wehling, William & Jean Parks, Theresa & David Lampen, Gregory & Tamee Parks; her 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; her “little sister” Dorothy Singer. She is also survived by sisters-in-laws, Charlene (Ralph) Harmelink and Joan Perham; and many loving nieces and nephews. A graveside service to honor Gail will be held Saturday, June 24, at 3:30 pm at Blythefield Memory Gardens at 6200 Brewer Ave NE, Belmont, MI with Pastor Daryl Crawford officiating. A luncheon will immediately follow the service and in the spirit of Gail, everyone is welcome to attend. The luncheon will be held at Magnify Church at 6727 Kuttshill Drive NE, Rockford, MI. Flowers may be sent to MKD Stegenga Funeral Chapel of Belmont, MI.
