G. Robert “Bob” VanNoord

G. Robert “Bob” VanNoord, age 91, of Wyoming went to be with his Lord on Friday, November 11, 2016.  He was preceded in death by 4 sisters and 5 brothers; granddaughter, Brenda Sue DeHaven.  He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 69 years, Thelma; children, Ruth and Max DeHaven, Karen and Rev. Kenneth Kuiper, Mary and Edwin VanPutten, Nancy and Arie Docter; 12 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, John and Phyllis Baar, Doris Steenbergen, Donna and Arnold Tillema; many nieces and nephews.  Bob loved serving the Lord as an Elder and  Adult Sunday School teacher for many years. He proudly served our country during WWII as a member of the United States Army Air Corps.  Funeral services will be held on Monday 11:00 am at Faith Reformed Church, 618 32^nd St. SW, Wyoming, with Rev. Bruce Osbeck officiating.  Interment Grandville Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to The Food Pantry of Faith Reformed Church, or Faith Hospice.
