Frieda   Boekestein

Boekestein, Frieda Frieda (Kas) Boekestein, age 94, of Grandville, passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2014 and is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior.  She will be greatly missed by her children, Jane (Frank) Nibbelink, Harriet (John) Rozema, Dorothy Rose, Betty (Kevin) Schutt; her son-in-law, Marvin (Diane) Evink; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchild; brothers, Gerrit Kas, Peter (Lenora) Kas; brother-in-law, Art Boekestein; several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ed; son, Edwin; daughter, Ardis.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday 2 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Rev. Kevin Schutt and Rev. Casey Freswick officiating.  Interment Richland Township Cemetery, Inwood, IA.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday from 4-7 pm and Thursday from 1-2 pm at the funeral home prior to the service.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation or a Christian school of one’s choice.
