Fred Tiesenga

Fred Tiesenga, aged 83, was released from this life on Thursday, May 5, 2016. We commend him to the mercy of God in hope of resurrection to life eternal. He is survived by his wife, Donna; children, Andrew (friend, Sally), Robert (April), Cheryl; grandson, Nicholas; sisters-in-law, Corinne Phillips, Marian denDulk, Norma (Bob) Niemeyer, Joanne Byl, Doris (Tom) Koning, Esther (Gary) Baas; and many nieces and nephews. Leaving this life reminds us of Question 1 of the Heidelberg Catechism: “What is your only comfort in life and death? Answer: That I am not my own but belong to my faithful Savior, Jesus Christ.” Funeral services for Fred will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am at the Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Chapel (Kentwood), 4646 Kalamazoo SE with Pastor Craig Scott officiating. Interment in Blain Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home on Monday from 5-8 pm and Tuesday from 10 – 10:45 am.
