Floyd Edward Riegling

Floyd Edward Riegling, age 85, of Rockford, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, September 26, 2023. He graduated from Creston High School in 1956 and later proudly served in the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S. Missouri. He owned his own upholstery business for many years. Floyd also enjoyed wood carving and won several “Best in Show” awards in competitions. He was active in his church as an Awana leader for many years. Later in life, he and his wife served in RVICS, traveling the country serving with different mission organizations. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 66 years, Carol Weeber-Riegling; children, Randall (Darlene) Riegling, Timothy (Teresa) Riegling, Christina Riegling; grandchildren, Clinton (Haelee) Riegling, Kaitlynn Riegling, Jack Riegling, Mary (Jordan) Potter, Tim “TJ” Riegling; great grandchild, Easton Potter; brothers and sisters, John Riegling, Lynne (Roger) VanderZouwen, Marianne (Jim) Loveland, Jim (Debbie) Riegling; many nieces and nephews. Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Adeline Riegling; sister-in-law, Celia. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Floyd’s Life will be held at a later date. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to The Gideons International.
