Florence M. Swiderski

Florence Mary Swiderski, age 93, of Alto, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 20 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband, Adam J. Swiderski; son, James Swiderski; one sister and two brothers. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Arnold and Gail Swiderski, Robert Swiderski, Kathleen and Kevin Debrie, Kevin and Robin Swiderski; grandchildren, Shannon and Michael Foley, Andrew Swiderski, Olivia Swiderski and Jacob Swiderski; great grandchildren, Erin and Colleen Foley; two sisters and one sister-in-law. During WWII after her husband was sent overseas, Florence worked in Ypsilanti alongside other women assisting with the war effort to become known as “Rosie the Riveter”. After returning home she worked at Fischer Body for 25 years. She enjoyed collecting antiques, cooking and being with family and friends. She will be greatly missed. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 10:00 am at Holy Family Catholic Church, 9669 Kraft SE Caledonia 49316 with Fr. Loc Trinh celebrant. Visitation will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church.
