Evelyn A. Bergsma

Evelyn A. Bergsma, age 86, of Jenison, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 2, 2017.  She was born in Ellsworth, Michigan on March 3, 1931.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Harvey; parents, Herman and Nellie Drenth; and great granddaughter, Zaeyana Driggs.  She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Deb and Doug Driggs, Diane and Steve Nichols, Dennis and Lorilee Bergsma; grandchildren, Dan and Nicholette Driggs, Darci Driggs, Kim and Mark Grooters, Mike and Rachel Nichols, Tara and Josh Berghuis, Amanda and Nate Wagenmaker, Jillian and Bryton Mansfield, Alyssa Bergsma and fiancé, Reece Jarmin; 15 great grandchildren; brother, Gordon and Virginia Drenth; sister-in-law, Betty Newhouse; and many nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday 11 a.m. at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Rev. Roger Groenboom officiating.  Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. and Thursday from 10-10:45 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Sunset Legacy Foundation.
