Eugenia Ann “Jeannie” Bigelow

Eugenia Ann “Jeannie” Bigelow, age 78, of Wyoming, was called to her heavenly home on Saturday, December 25, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Lawrence A. Bowerman and Marlin Bigelow; infant son, Darren Dwayne Bowerman. She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Larry Lee and Linda Bowerman, Earlina and Mark Velting; grandchildren: Julie Anne Bowerman, Larry Lee Jr. (Kelsey Price) Bowerman; several great grandchildren. Jeannie was a strong, active woman who did not let a back injury from an auto accident slow her down. Since both of her husbands served in the Army and Navy, she became very active in the Amvets, American Legion and the Moose Lodge. She loved animals and even fed backyard rabbits, possums, and raccoons by hand. She enjoyed taking care of the fish in her fish ponds. She also enjoyed raising orchids and collecting dolls. One of her favorite pastimes was to go antiquing or to estate sales. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming with Pastor Harry Koops officiating. Burial at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 10 - 11 am at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Amvets or Humane Society of West Michigan.
