
Ethel May Ruiz, age 89, of Wyoming, was called to her heavenly home on Friday, July 21, 2023. Ethel was a hardworking, loving, and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. When the children were small, she made their clothes for them, made sure the house was spotless, and prepared the family meals. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and making ceramic figurines which she sold to the neighborhood. She also enjoyed going to her daughter’s farm to help out with chores. She made homemade tortillas and enchiladas and canned fruit and vegetables in the fall. Her family was her life and always came first. Ethel sold Avon and made hats from beverage cans. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mable Piper; children, Mary Kahn, Mike Ruiz; and son-in-law, Miguel Diaz. She will be lovingly remembered by her children and step-children, Carlena (Brian) Borowka, Concepcion Diaz, Tammy Louise Ruiz (Jason Kirkwood), Barbara Jean (Robert) Walker, Ernest Mansfield, George Mansfield, Charles Mansfield, Linda (Al) Fricke, Bobbie Jo Ruiz; many, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial contributions can be made to Spectrum Health Hospice.
