
Ethel Jean Lucas, age 95, of Grand Rapids, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2020, and is now resting in the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Sr. and Elizabeth Lucas; and her sister-in-law, Geraldine Lucas. She was a loving sister and aunt who cherished her family. Ethel was a faithful servant of her Lord, serving with her time and talents at both First Christian Reformed Church and Alger Park Christian Reformed Church in Grand Rapids. She also volunteered in many ways at various mission organizations. Ethel worked as a secretary throughout her career, working for the draft board during the war, the railroad, and retired as an Executive Secretary from Michigan National Bank after over 30 years of dedicated service. She will be lovingly remembered by her brother, Henry Lucas Jr.; her nieces and nephews, Jim Lucas, Judy and Glen Ensing, Joan and Tom Konyndyk, Jack Lucas; and several loving great and great-great nieces and nephews. A private funeral service was held at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. The burial took place at Rosedale Memorial Park.
