Esther Lucille Willyard

Willyard Esther Esther L. Willyard, age 105, of Caledonia went to be with her Lord on, Thursday, January 22, 2015.  She will be greatly missed by her children, James and Kathleen Willyard, Barbara Velthouse, David and Georgene Willyard, daughter in law, Mary Willyard; 11 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; many devoted nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Verne Willyard, son, Donald Willyard, son in law, Elmer Velthouse, grandson, Jeffrey Velthouse, great granddaughter, Jill Board. Esther and her husband owned and operated the local IGA grocery store in Caledonia between the years of 1949-1965. She was an avid quilter and baker, creating many beautiful cakes.  The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Beacon Hill Memory Support Unit and Holland Hospice for their loving care of Esther.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 26 at 11:00 am at Gaines United Brethren Church, 1612 – 92nd, with Rev. Kelly Burnside officiating.  Relatives and friends may meet the family from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm, Sunday, January 25, 2015 at the funeral home, 616 Main Street, Caledonia. Interment Lakeside Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Gaines Missionary Fellowship.
