Elizabeth (called Erzsó and Zsóka by her close friends and family; Anya, Grandma, Grammy, and Mama by her children and grandchildren) was born on August 12, 1959 in Satu-Mare, Romania. She had a courageous spirit, and in the early 1990s, moved her family to the US and settled in Grand Rapids. Always a hard worker, she spent much of her time ensuring her family was well taken care of. She was blessed with a kind heart and an exuberant personality. She enjoyed laughing and making others laugh. She showed her love by feeding people and was a wonderful cook and baker. She also enjoyed crafting (knitting and crocheting in particular) as well as tending to her beautiful indoor and outdoor gardens. She loved animals and had rescued several–she even had a collection of wild kitties whom she fed daily. Most of all, Elizabeth loved her family, particularly her five grandchildren. She was ever present in their lives, blessing them with her kind words, comforting hugs, kisses, and surprise treats. She will be missed greatly.
