Dennis Toms

Dennis Toms, age 84, of Kentwood, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2026.  He proudly served in the U.S. Army.  Denny loved running and cycling and loved watching sports, especially MSU and Detroit Lions.  He retired from Gear Research after over 30 years.  Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 58 years, Jeanne; sons: Jack Toms, David Toms; brothers (and sisters-in-law): Alan (Theda) Toms, Philip (Maryanne) Toms; niece and nephew: Margo Toms, Thorsten Toms.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Katherine; 1 brother, John. Funeral services will be held 11 am Tuesday, July 21, 2026  at St. Mary Magdalen Church, 1253 52nd St., Kentwood, with Rev. Peter Vu presiding.  Burial will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. at  the church prior to the service.
