Doorn, Ernest C. DOORN: Ernest C. Doorn, age 97, of Wyoming, passed away at his home on Monday, January 30, 2012.  God took his hand and peacefully led him to his eternal home, where he reunites with his wife, Anna, infant daughter, Marilyn, and sons, Jerome and Merrill.  He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Sharon and Allie Nielsen, Marcia Looman, Greg and Laurie Doorn; daughter-in-law, Barb and Dick Mackey; 14 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; one great great great granddaughter; sister, Yvonne Peters; sister-in-law, Ruth Doorn; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 am at Eighth Reformed Church, 841 Burton St. SW, Wyoming. Interment Rosedale Memorial Park.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to American Diabetes Association, Parkinson’s Association, or Eighth Reformed Church. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home, (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr., as well as an hour prior to the service at the church.
