Erin Rickert Wiersma

Erin Lea Rickert Wiersma, age 41, of Zeeland, Michigan, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2024, following a courageous battle with cancer. While Erin’s health concerns were many, she was never without joy! She will be remembered for having the peace that passes all understanding. Erin was thankful for every moment she had to spend with family and friends. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Michael Wiersma; son, William Rickert; stepsons, Robert, Ryan, and Reid Wiersma; mother, Sharon Munski; father, Donald Munski (Barbara Kolen); father-in-law, Michael Wiersma Sr.; sister, Kristin (Carl) Hinterman and sons; sister-in-law, Layle (Kevin) Kaechele and children; the Rickert and DeJong families; as well as many extended family members and special friends who meant so much. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Guy Rickert; grandparents, Howard and Phyllis Nyenhuis, and Wallace and Helen Munski. Special thanks to Erin’s work family at Metro Health and the caring staff of Faith Hospice. May you also receive the peace that only God can give. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Jamestown) 2371 Riley St., Hudsonville with Chaplain Caleb Walcott officiating. Burial will take place at Jamestown Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Saturday from 12:30-2:00 pm at the funeral home prior to the service.
