Elwood Norman Ruse

Elwood Norman Ruse, age 77, was called home by his Heavenly Father on Friday, December 9, 2022. Norman was born on March 9, 1945. He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and June Ruse. Norman had many stories and was a very gentle and humble man. He did not have an easy life with the death of his parents at a very young age. He grew up in Stanwood, Michigan, and lived on a farm. He worked as a door-to-door salesman at one time. Norman had the gift of gab and a very good memory. He listened to different television evangelist and could tell you a lot about them. Norman would often say Jesus loves us. He really enjoyed watching Gunsmoke and could tell you just about every episode. Norman also liked watching the WWE. He never had a driver’s license, and he was thrilled to recently drive the electric powered scooter at Walmart. He had a food craving for the BK Triple Whopper and would bribe anyone to buy him one. A special thank you to the Careline Hospice staff. And a very special thank you to Norman’s “adopted family” the committed staff, doctors and nurses at Douglas Cove in Douglas, Michigan, where Norman resided. They showed him much love and gave him great care over the years. Cremation has taken place and no services will be held at the funeral home. A private memorial service will be held at later date.
