Elmer DenBraber

Elmer DenBraber, age 87, went to his heavenly home on Wednesday, April 15, 2015. Elmer graduated from Lee High School in 1946. He worked as a journeyman tool layout inspector of aircraft parts, and he retired from Alloy Tech after 40 years of service. He enjoyed snowmobiling, boating, and spending time at his cottage at Hardy Dam, as well as his last cottage on Pickerel Lake. He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis; stepdaughter, Judy Nylan; grandson, Jack Chapin II; two great grandsons, Karter Post and Brandon Woodworth. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Margie and Ed Cummins, Mary and Dan Braska; son-in-law, David Nylan; 15 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; brother, Ed and Ann DenBraber; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday 2 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW, with Pastor Tom Swieringa officiating. Interment Fairplains Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday from 3-6 pm at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to American Cancer Society.
