Elmer Burton Williamson

Elmer “Whitey” “Burt” Burton Williamson, age 93, of Brooksville, FL (formerly of Kentwood, MI) passed away October 14, 2017 at the Sturgill Hospice House in Brooksville. Elmer was born in Muskegon, MI on November 25, 1923 to the late Elmer H. and Martha (Thompson) Williamson and moved to Brooksville, FL in 1985. He worked for the Kelvinator Appliance Company on their assembly line, Meijer, Steelcase, and served our country in the U.S. Army, enlisting in September, 1946 and honorably discharged in 1947. He leaves his wife of 48 years, Nina (Savage) Williamson; three children, Midge Taylor, Jenison, MI; Marie Williamson, Kentwood, MI; Rebecca Berens, Greenville, MI; 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Monday, October 23, 2017 at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf (corner of Avery and Scott) 6651 Scott St., Allendale with Pastor Ryan Quanstrom officiating.  Interment Rosedale Memorial Park.  Relatives and friends may meet the family on Monday from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
