Her adventurous spirit, caring nature, and deep love for her family and others will be remembered by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, James. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Barb and Gary Schepers, Bruce VandenBand, Beth and Harv Veldhouse, Bonnie and Steve Schild, Brian and Kathie VandenBand; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; sister, Carole Hilbrands; sister-in-law, Sandie DeHamer; and several loving nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Monday, March 30, 2026, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Pastor Shawn Hulst officiating. Burial will take place at Floral View Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Monday from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
