Ella (Diekema)  Van Eede

Ella Van Eede, age 93, of Jenison, went to her heavenly home on Thursday, September 11, 2014.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Cornelia and Cornelius Diekema of Borculo; all six of her brothers and sisters; her son-in-law, Robert L. Griffeth.  Ella will be greatly missed by her husband of 72 years, Walter; her daughters, Karon (Albert) Buning, Lyn (JR) Roelofs; grandchildren, Paul (Richelle) Buning, Tim (Suzann) Buning, Sarah (Keith) Knapp, Diane (John) Tilma, Robert (Michelle) Griffeth, James (Vega) Griffeth; 18 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; sisters-in-law, Jessie Diekema, Fern Ven Eede; as well as many nieces and nephews.  She was a member of Eighth Reformed Church in Wyoming for over 77 years.  Funeral services will be held on 11 am Monday, September 15 at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. with Rev. Robert Langenberg officiating.  Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday, September 14 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to Eighth Reformed Church or Sunset Manor. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Faith Hospice Trillium Woods for the compassionate care given to Ella.
