Elizabeth J. Elzinga

Elizabeth “Betty” J. Elzinga, age 79, of Grandville went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 18, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Elizabeth (Hilkhuysen) Nieuwstraten; brother, Jack Nieuwstraten; sister and brother-in-law, Conny and Roger Zylstra. Betty will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 57 years, Henry; children, Bob Elzinga, Rick and Jill Elzinga, Dale and Renee Hoffer, Henry Elzinga and Cheryl Mercer, Ron and Kayse Elzinga; grandchildren, Megan and Jordan, Kelsey and Mike, Jenni and Noah, Kristen, Jake, Tyce, Adam and Lacey, Alex, Brooke, Jon, Taylor, Ryan and Andrea, Emily, Leah, Eric; great grandchildren, Hudson, Graham, Easton, Jackson; brother and sisters-in-law, Jim and Jean Nieuwstraten, Ann Nieuwstraten; many nephews, nieces and extended family. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, December 22, 2018, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville), 4145 Chicago Drive SW, with Pastor Jake Weeda officiating. Interment Georgetown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday, December 21, from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
