Eleanor Van Leeuwen

Eleanor Van Leeuwen, age 88, of Jenison, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, September 30, 2020.  She was a very giving and generous lady who loved Jesus.  Eleanor was a  great baker, was gifted in hospitality, and gave of her time and talents in many ways, including her involvement in Friendship Ministries at Lee St. CRC.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerrit, just 20 days ago; her sons, Randy and Kenneth; son-in-law, Alvin DeVries; and daughter-in-law, Sharon Van Leeuwen; brothers, Jim Doornbos, Alvin Doornbos; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Willard Van Houten, Robert Hoeksema, Ruf and Terri Mast, Neil and Marge Van Leeuwen. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Jan DeVries, Gary and Sylvia Van Leeuwen, Mary and Don Postma; daughter-in-law, Terri Van Leeuwen; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Beatrice VanHouten, Marian Hoeksema, Maxine Doornbos, Neve Doornbos; many nieces and nephews. A private family service will be held with burial at Grandville Cemetery.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Lee St. CRC Christian Education Fund.
