Elaine Ruth Smith

Elaine Ruth Smith, age 90, of Wyoming, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 7, 2026. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Keith and Joy Smith, Nancy Smith, Susan and Robert Smith; grandchildren, Jacob, Christopher, and Travis; 5 great grandchildren; siblings, Marge Dornbos, Shirley Vegt, Joan Horrigan, Mary Horrigan; in-laws, Carolyn Woodley, Kenneth and Barbara Smith; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Elaine was preceded in death by her husband, Hugo Arthur Smith. Her favorite place was Chippewa Lake and renting out cottages on the lake and loved her cats. A funeral service will be held 11 am Friday, January 16, 2026, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4145 Chicago Drive SW, Grandville. Burial will be held at Chippewa Lake Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday 10-11am at  Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4145 Chicago Drive SW, Grandville. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Corewell Health Hospice or to the Mecosta County Animal Shelter.
