Elaine Neymeiyer

Elaine Neymeiyer, age 86, of Jenison, went to be with her Lord after a long, courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, February 23, 2021. She was born on February 26, 1934, to Albert and Jeanette Lampen. Elaine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She always had a loving and giving heart for family and volunteer work to advance God’s Kingdom. She spent her time and talents serving several charities: Bibles for Missions Thrift Store, World Renew, and Bethany Christian Services. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Marlin Brower; brother and sister-in-law, Lloyd and Maddie Lampen; and the Neymeiyer brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 64 years, Jim Neymeiyer; children, Steve and Kathy Neymeiyer, Lori Brower, and Kristi and Larry Wood; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Lauren and Josh Shifferd, Mitch and Amanda Meyer (Mason), Mark and Trish Brower (Parker, Livy), Andie and Michael Ruszkowski (Scotty, Josie); sister-in-law, Carole Neymeiyer; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 1, 2021, at 1 p.m. at Cottonwood Church, 1101 Cypress Drive, with Pastor Matt Palsrok and Pastor Mark Neymeiyer officiating. The service will be live streamed on the church website https://www.cottonwoodcrc.com/neymeiyer. A private burial will take place at Georgetown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday, February 28, from 2-4 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. and on Monday from noon-1 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Hudsonville Christian School or Jenison Christian School.
