Elaine Lett

Elaine Lett, age 75, of Kentwood, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, January 21, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Wilma VanderMeulen; sisters, Isabelle VanderMeulen, and Jean Kalkofen; brother and sister-in-law, Andy and Janice VanderMeulen. Elaine was a kind and loving mother, sister, and aunt. She graduated from Grand Rapids Christian High School and later went on to work for Old Kent Bank. She retired from Foremost Insurance after many years of dedicated employment. Elaine was a faithful member of Faith Reformed Church in Wyoming, serving with her time and talents in many ways. Over the years she enjoyed cooking, baking, and crocheting, donating many handmade crochet items to families. She will be remembered by her sons, Jim and Barb Lett, Mark Lett; her grandchildren, Jake, Ashley, Corey; several great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Don Kalkofen; several loving nieces and nephews; and many dear friends. At Elaine’s request, cremation has taken place. There will be a family graveside service held at a later date. In honor of Elaine’s joy of being with family and friends, the family requests everyone to share a meal and cherish conversations with those you love. The family would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to all those who gave of their time, love, and compassionate care to Elaine.
