Edwin Melvin Otten

​Edwin M. Otten, age 89, of Wyoming, was called to his heavenly home on Friday, July 9, 2021. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Delores; daughter, Kerry; brothers, Ken, Ted, John; sister, Tillie. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Paula and Ron Sherman, Nancy and Gary Decker, Teresa and Cory Gibbs; nine grandchildren; many great grandchildren; sisters, Viola Saul, Christine Otten, many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Edwin was a warm, loving, caring husband, father, and grandfather. He was a dedicated, hardworking man who worked for DeYoung and Bagin Construction for over 25 years. He loved repairing cars and stock car racing. He traveled extensively to various tracks to maintain the race cars while his brother, Ted, drove the cars. Ed was a jack of all trades and could be counted on to help family and friends with household projects. He enjoyed traveling out West and tending to his many rose plants. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming. Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday from 12 to 1 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
