Ed was a career firefighter, serving many communities for over 40 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 42 years, Joyce Smith; daughter and son-in-law, Shelley and Mike Henning; his grandchildren, Caden, Casidhe, Landon, and Logan; 4 sisters, Patricia Smith, Virginia Haverhals, Cheryl and Ed Marsh, Phyllis Smith;  several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
