Edith VanStrien

Edith VanStrien, age 95, of Grandville, passed away into glory with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, November 30, 2020. Edith was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She especially enjoyed spending time with her wonderful family that she was blessed with and was an avid prayer warrior. She was a very energetic and friendly person, making friends wherever she went. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Cora Vogel; siblings, Andy and Angie Vogel, Joan and John Kamp, Dena Breuker, and Ruth and Gordon Deur. Edith will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 70 years, George; children, Judy and Ron Westra, Pete and Jan VanStrien, Mark VanStrien and Lynn Prouty, Lori and Dave Kuiper, George VanStrien; 15 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; brother, Bill Vogel; brother-in-law, Dan and Laura Brueker. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm on Friday, December 4, 2020 at Heritage Reformed Congregation, 540 Crescent St. NE, Grand Rapids, with Dr. Joel R. Beeke officiating. Please be considerate of social distancing and mask guidelines. Burial Floral View Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at church.
