Dylan Jeffrey Cochran

Dylan Jeffrey Cochran, age 35, of Wyoming, MI, formerly of Caledonia, MI, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 24, 2026. 

Dylan will be lovingly remembered and forever deeply missed by his parents: Bridget (Joshua Rogers) Allen and Timothy (Laura) Cochran; sisters: Meghan (Alexander Voorman) Cochran, Kaitlin Allen; niece and nephews: Max Voorman, Dorothy Voorman, Cassius Voorman; aunts and uncles: Kimberly Allen, Kevin (Catherine) Allen, Jennifer (Donald) Hayes, Rollie (Kimberly) Cochran, Michael Cochran, Douglas (Alec Bisaha) Cochran; many cousins on both sides of his family; and devoted feline companion, Lemmy. 

Born in Allegan, Michigan on January 23, 1991, Dylan spent his formative years in the Village of Caledonia, MI. There he attended school from kindergarten through his 2009 graduation from Caledonia High School. He enjoyed history, AP English, and art classes. His senior year, Dylan was the President of the Fine Arts Club, which loaned lovely student artwork to Caledonia businesses. He attended Central Michigan University, and earned his undergraduate degree in Information Technology. He had no interest in limiting his studies to one subject, so he eventually expanded his education with minors in Psychology and Women’s Studies. As a Chippewa, he was a member of the Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity, where the main focus was fund raising for charities. 

Dylan was good natured and got along with everyone he met, displaying a clever sense of humor and the desire to be of service and help people. He made many good friends at CMU, and also remained lifelong friends with many of his Caledonia schoolmates, whom he enjoyed seeing regularly, if not often. Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services I.T. department was where Dylan was employed as an I.T. Specialist. He was very proud that he had helped implement the technology infrastructure for the new Pine Rest Pediatric Center of Behavioral Health. 

Dylan had a sensitive soul and a pure heart, as evidenced by the fact that he was accepted and loved by many, including animals and children (who are known to be good judges of character). His hobbies included video gaming and music - especially vinyl records and live shows. Evidence of this is his collection of dozens of band shirts, which he wore frequently. Being a movie aficionado, especially of horror, Studio Ghibli, and comedy, Celebration Cinema was a regular destination for him. Dylan had strong connections to his family and loved spending time with them, either quietly, or engaging in some fun and entertaining activity. Very often, it was he who orchestrated these occasions. The world is a better place for Dylan having been in it. 

A Celebration of Dylan’s Life will be held Sunday, October 25, 2026 at the Lodge @ Lakeside Park, 370 N. Lake St. SE, Caledonia, MI 49316, from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
