
Dorothy Isabel Marie Bivins, after a fantastic journey of 97 years, went home to be with the Lord on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 11, 2025. Dottie was a longtime member of the St. John Vianney Church with her husband, Joe. She was a nurse by trade, a caring and giving daughter of God, and a loving servant to all for many years. She was actively involved in the Our Lady of Lourdes Shrine and Resurrection Cemetery. Most of all, she loved her family.She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; daughter-in-law, Char Bivins; siblings: Catherine (Herm) Fedewa, Alice (Roy) Morton, Lou Kramer, Thomas Kramer. She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Deborah and Don Boyd, Michael and Cynthia Bivins, Mark and Leslie Bivins; grandchildren: Becky (Dave) Vaness, Joseph (Jennifer) Boyd, Karen (Brandon) Rewa, Michael (Melissa) Boyd, Jennifer (Mark) Stillwell, Brian (Stephanie) Bivins, David (Megan) Bivins, Kyle (Mykela) Bivins, Christopher (Molly) Bivins; great grandchildren: Jonathan and Jace Vaness, Sebastian and Isabel Stillwell, Ethan and Jackson Boyd, Holden, Hudson and Hadley Rewa, Charley and Evelyn Lechner, Eli, Josephine Bivins, Austin, Emma and Owen Bivins, Maggy and Owen Bivins, Amelia and Harper Bivins; sister-in-law, Sally Kramer and her family; several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, May 16, 2025 at Our Lady of Consolation Church, 4865 11 Mile Rd. NE, Rockford, MI 49341, with Rev. Mike Alber presiding. Burial will be held at Resurrection Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 10-11 am at the church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Faith Hospice or St. John Vianney Foundation.
