Doris Morren (Oudbier)

Doris Morren, 90 years young was reunited on May 2nd, 2017 with her husband, Adrian alongside her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Doris was born on December 10, 1926 and spent her life as a homemaker until she went to work for Montgomery Wards in their linen department at Rogers Plaza in Wyoming. She was a very hard worker and won many sales awards while opening new charge accounts. Doris lived the majority of her life in Wyoming, MI before spending her final years at Vista Springs in Grand Rapids. She enjoyed reading the newspaper while keeping up to date with current events, completing cross word puzzles, and watching her beloved Detroit Tigers. Doris was a charter member of Newhall Reformed Church. Although she was tiny and frail, Doris had a lively spirit and lived her life accordingly. Doris is survived by her brothers, Ed and Jack Oudbier and well as her sister, Pat Thayer and sisters-in-law, Charlotte Morren, Voga Morren and Mary Morren all of Grand Rapids. Doris is preceded in death by her husband, Adrian Morren and brothers-in-law, Russell Morren, Marvin Morren and Jacob Morren. Doris will be lovingly remembered by her son, William Morren and his wife Rita Morren; grandsons, Michael Morren and his wife Elsie Morren, Stephan Morren and his wife YuSun Morren and great-granddaughters, Brittney, Amaya and Avery Morren. The family would like to express their gratitude for the caring and hard working staff at Vista Springs and Kindred Hospice for making Doris’s transition as comfortable as possible. A small private family gathering has taken place at the funeral home.
