Doris Kooistra

Doris Ann (Henning) Kooistra, age 95, daughter of the late Harm and Henrietta Sitzema and sister of Ron Sitzema went to be with her Lord on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at her son, Danny's (Bird) residence in Kentucky. She was an excellent crafter enjoying sewing, painting, country line dancing and spending time with family and friends. Everyone will miss Doris’ smile, laughter, and sometimes shocking comments. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Robert Kooistra Sr. Doris is survived by her three children, Daniel (Bird) Kooistra Jr., Tammy (Keith) Day, David (Merry) Kooistra; her grandchildren, Lloyd Cooper IV, David Kooistra Jr., Cole Kooistra, and Marlena Kooistra; great-grandchildren, Mason, River, Blayze, and Ezra; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at the MKD Reception and Event Center at  4155 Chicago Dr. SW, Grandville, on Saturday, April 5, at 2:00 p.m.
