Donna Arlene Kooiker

Donna Arlene Kooiker, age 85, of Allendale, formerly of Grandville, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, September 26, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Jennie Martinie; husband, Alvin Kooiker Sr.; son, Scott Kooiker; daughter, Bobbette Perry. Left to mourn her passing are her children, Alvin and Melody Kooiker, Roxanne Beaudin, Jeff Kooiker; 16 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 3 Kooiker sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews; and a great friend, Jan Maring, who always made time to visit Donna over the years.  Donna was a nurse at Spectrum, and in her early years of nursing, she worked at the Osteopathic Hospital (now Metro Health). She was a graduate of Zeeland High School and Pine Rest School of Nursing. Donna’s family would like to thank the staff of Allendale Nursing and Rehab for the love and care they showed Donna in her years of living there.  Even when she would keep them on their toes, they still loved her.  Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Friday, September 29, 2017 at Rusk Christian Reformed Church, 10354 92^nd Ave., Allendale with Rev. Mark Neymeiyer officiating.  Interment Rusk Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family on Friday from 12-2 pm prior to the service at the church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Alzheimer’s Association.
