Donald Wynalda

Donald Wynalda, age 85, of Wyoming, went home to be with his Lord on Friday, January 16, 2026. He was a faithful servant of Eighth Reformed Church in Wyoming, Michigan, where he served as both an elder and deacon. Known for his great sense of humor, he enjoyed hunting and loved to bowl. Alongside his father, he formed Ike and Don’s Tile Service, later continuing the work on his own as Don’s Tile Service after his father’s retirement. His dedication to his craft continued until he suffered a massive stroke on January 26, 2004.

He was preceded in death by his brothers and sister-in-law, Elmer and Betty Wynalda, Marvin Wynalda; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, David Taylor, Ron Heyboer, Barb Taylor. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 63 years, Judy Wynalda; children, Deb and Dave Rietberg, Jim and Julie Wynalda, Kris Wynalda, Joy and Jevon Reno; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sister, Charlotte Heyboer; brother and sister-in-law, Bruce and Lavina Wynalda; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Sue Wynalda, Doug and Kathleen Taylor, Linda Taylor; and several loving nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 24, at Eighth Reformed Church, 841 Burton St. SW, Wyoming, with Pastor Harry Koops officiating. The burial will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Saturday from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to The Oaks at Byron Center or to Faith Hospice.
