Donald William Smit

Donald William Smit, age 89, of Byron Center, passed away to be with his Lord on Thursday, June 4, 2020. Don was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Don served in the Air Force for four years as a Staff Sergeant. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Beverly of 61 years; children, Dave and Debbie Smit, Ruth Sprague, Pam Smit; grandchildren, Trevor Smit, Rebecca and Jeremy Daniels, Matthew and Samme Spaulding, Mallory Sprague; great-grandchild, Llewyn Spaulding; and many nieces and nephews. A private graveside service will be held on Monday, June 8, at Rosedale Memorial Park with Rev. Dennis Gilbert officiating.
